The most visited valley of the <\/span>Low Tatras<\/strong>, situated to the south of the town of Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161, is a part of the Low Tatras National Park. There you can find the longest cave system in Slovakia (21 km) and two caves open to public: <\/span>Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 jasky\u0148a slobody<\/strong> (Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 cave of freedom),well-known for massive stalagmites, sinter waterfalls and <\/span>Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 \u013eadov\u00e1 jasky\u0148a<\/strong> (Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 ice cave).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Higher part of the valley, <\/span>Jasn\u00e1<\/strong>, is the largest and most popular ski resort in Slovakia. Plenty of cable cars, ski lifts and terrain at locations Z\u00e1hradky Otupn\u00e9 and <\/span>Chopok<\/strong> – North offers excellent conditions for skiing – for beginners, experienced riders and freestyle skiers and ski-alpinists, free riders and cross country skiers. In winter you can enjoy ice climbing, skating, sledging or walking in the snow-white countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n

Hiking enthusiasts will appreciate ten marked routes and trails network. At the bottom of the valley trails lead through forest terrain, deep canyons between steep cliffs. Scrub and grassland prevails in the higher altitude. Physically savvy hikers seek out the output to the highest peaks of Low Tatras – Chopok (2024 m) and \u010eumbier (2043 m), offering views of almost half of Slovakia and ridge hikes. Comfortable visitors may be lifted by chair or cabine cableway.<\/p>\n

In summer months extreme bikers can try their courage at the marked lines. Rock walls Machnat\u00f4 with varying degrees of difficulty climbing is popular with climbers. In Dem\u00e4novsk\u00e1 Valley you can choose from variety of restaurants and accommodation facilities (guest houses, lodges, chalets, hotels).<\/p>\n
