This very nice route <\/span>starts in Smre\u010dany<\/em><\/strong>. The already mentioned<\/span> Gothic Church of the Sacrifice of the Lord<\/em><\/strong> (blessed in honour of the Purification of the Virgin Mary), the foundations of which date back to 1349, is the oldest preserved building in Smre\u010dany. Do not miss the village museum; its <\/span>permanent exhibition<\/em><\/strong> called <\/span>\u201eThe History and the Important Personalities of the Village\u201c <\/em><\/strong>chronicles the history of the Smre\u010dany village and displays a selection of traditional folk crafts, farm tools, folk costumes, period documents, photographs, etc. The Smre\u010dany village merges with the \u017diar village, at the end of which you will find<\/span> The Chata Ko\u017eiar<\/strong> mountain hotel with the on-site snack bar and information boards. From the hotel, turn onto <\/span>an asphalt road <\/em><\/strong>that will <\/span>lead you to the \u017diarska Chata chalet. <\/em><\/strong>The route can be <\/span>explored<\/strong> on foot, by bike and there is also a possibility of renting a downhill scooter, with the road having a dedicated lane for scooters. You will see an occasional car or two. A quieter alternative to the asphalt road is an <\/span>old trail through rocky forest terrain<\/strong> marked blue. It runs parallel to the busy supply road, but it leads through a spruce forest, providing shade from the sun. A recently renovated <\/span>\u017diarska Chata<\/em><\/strong> chalet provides accommodation with the \u201cTri Kopy\u201d restaurant and an outer terrace. There are many natural beauties worth seeing just a stone\u00b4s throw from the \u017diarska Chata chalet.\u00a0 One of them are the <\/span>cascades of the \u0160arafiov\u00fd Vodop\u00e1d waterfall<\/strong> in the Kr\u00e1sno rock gully. To reach it, follow the path <\/span>to Jaloveck\u00e9 Sedlo saddle<\/em><\/strong> marked with green markings that will lead you past the <\/span>Symbolick\u00fd Cintor\u00edn cemetary<\/em><\/strong><\/span> to the frothy white <\/strong><\/span>cascades of the \u0160arafiov\u00fd Vodop\u00e1d waterfall<\/em><\/strong><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n

There is a paid parking lot at the beginning of the \u017diarska Dolina valley.<\/p>\n

You can get a bus or train to Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161 and then a bus to the Smre\u010dany village or you may prefer to take a bus which stops next to the Sala\u0161 Ko\u017eiar sheep farm.<\/p>\n
