Čutkovská Valley is one of the most visited destinations in the region, not only by Liptov residents but also by tourists from abroad. It is a great place to relax in the countryside mainly preferred by families with children mainly for the children´s amusement park “Obrovo”. The valley is picturesque along its entire length, which was further accentuated by the recently built nature trail Známa – Neznáma Čutkovská dolina (Known-Unknow Čutkovská Valley), but the most beautiful is its end by the water reservoir and establishment “Koliba u dobrého pastiera” (At the Good Shepherd).
The nature trail was created by enthusiasts from Černová district. The trail with several deviations is 6.1 km long and has 10 boards, 6 bridges and 3 benches for sitting. The biggest attractions are up to 24 meters high waterfall and a 64 meters long gorge.
10 educational boards along the length of the valley reveal the secrets of the local fauna and flora. Three boards are located in not easily accessible forest terrain, in the wild. They teach tourist about natural gems as magical waterfalls, gorges, and dense forests reminiscent of primeval forests. The highest point of the trail is a gorge at an altitude of 850 meters. The canyon of the gorge is 64 meters high and was created by the Čutkovský Potok River.
The nearest bus (public transport) stop is located just 5 minutes from the beginning of Čutkovská Valley, right by the main road. Availability of public transport connections to the bus/train station in Ružomberok is sufficient. There is free parking in the car park near At the Good Shepherd.
In addition to accommodation, there are several chalets and huts in the Čutkovská Valley offering traditional Slovak cuisine.
