LIMBA tourist shelter is located on the southeast slope of Rakytov (1567 m), the third highest peak of the Veľká Fatra mountains. It lies at an altitude of 1210 m above sea level. To get there, take the yellow marked route that starts at the former lodge called Teplô (bus stop on the Liptovská Osada – Liptovské Revúce route), continue walking through the Teplá valley and the Prielom Teplého potoka canyon until you reach Limba. It will take you about 1,5 hours.
The hut is open all year round and is taken care of by a warden. It offers accommodation to maximum 15 people on mattresses upstairs. Visitors need to bring their own sleeping bags. The hut is a hospitable place, so you will definitely not stay hungry of thirsty when hiking in the mountains of Veľká Fatra.
The hut also has the unique atmosphere you can only feel when staying in mountain huts.
